The Sheffield cityscape has a major new element.

 

    

 

 

The rebuilt nine storey high Sheffield City College, known as Castle College, has reached completion.  The project, delivered by JF Finnegan, was delivered under a traditional contract.   The redevelopment of the further education college incorporates a range of environmental features including wind turbines, photovoltaic arrays, sedum roofs, district heating (connected to the local incinerator plant) and grey water recycling systems and has achieved a BREEAM very good rating.  The project was completed within programme.
